The Call Family

Avery took swimming lessons again this year. She was so excited!

She was very brave this year and did everything that her teachers asked her to do.

Her favorite part was going under the water!

This is her on her last day of swimming lessons. Her lessons had to be postponed a couple of times because of rain which worked out really nicely because her last day ended up being on a Saturday and daddy was able to come and watch her.

She loves the water!

She was able to swim on her front and back for a short period of time.

I am so proud of my little Ave Bug. She did an amazing job!

We had a really fun Fourth of July this year. We had planned to go camping up American Fork Canyon on the night of the 3rd with all of my family, unfortunately there was a really big fire on the mountain nearby and they closed the canyon. Luckily, my Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen have a really big yard and we were all able to set up out tents out there for our camp out. We all had dinner together and spent the night visiting and roasting marshmallows. Kaden and Avery had lots of fun playing in the sandbox. We bought a tent that day for our family and had a great time setting it up and sleeping in it!

On the morning of the 4th we all had a yummy breakfast in the backyard. Avery played on the swing with her bear.

Later that night we invited all of my family and all of Skyler’s family over for a barbecue. (Skyler just bought us a grill and we were anxious to try it out!) Kaden and Jaden had lots of fun playing together.

Kaden loved sharing his popsicle with Jaden! It was so cute.

We were able to do a few small fireworks. With all of the fires this year there have been lots of restrictions place on where you can light fireworks. Fortunately, our house was in the “safe zone”. We were still very careful about the types of fireworks we light and we did not do very many. Kaden tried to blow out the fire!

Avery loves both of her grandmas. She was sitting on Grandma Call’s lap and telling Grandma Christiansen about all of the fun things that she gets to do with Grandma Call. Grandma Christiansen said, “You have such a nice grandma”. Avery’s response was, “I have two nice grandmas!” I thought that was really cute!

After we were done lighting fireworks we sat outside and visited and watched the fire on the mountain. While we were visiting our sprinklers turned on! We all got soaking wet along with our blankets and other things that were outside. It was fun! A night we will always remember!
