Game Night at Grandma’s
by Janelle Call on Jun.29, 2011
The weather is finally warm enough to go outside and play games. After Sunday dinner at my mom’s house we all went outside to play Bocce, one of our favorite outdoor games. Kaden loved holding the ball for me.

He even enjoyed putting it in his mouth.

Avery played on Uncle Tyler’s team. She did a very good job.

My beautiful little girl.

We had lots of fun. Thanks everyone for playing!
Canyon

We went up to Mutual Dell with The Christiansen Family for dinner and marshmallow roasting. My cousin, Shawnee, was visiting from Montana. Avery loved playing with her.

Daddy and Kaden enjoying the nice weather.

Skyler’s sister, Lacey, came with us. Here she is helping Avery roast a marshmallow.

Kaden was getting really tired so my Aunt Heidi took him away from the group to rock him. He loves her!

Avery lounging in a chair eating her marshmallow. Isn’t she so cute?!?

We had a great time. I love all of the summer activities we get to participate in!
Chuck-E-Cheese
by Janelle Call on Jun.25, 2011
We were invited to go to Chuck-E-Cheese for my cousins 4th birthday. We were so excited because we have not be there for years. My aunt and uncle provided the pizza and tokens for the kids to play games and ride rides. Avery and Kaden had a blast!

Avery even got to meet Chuck-E.

Avery gave dad a token so he could play his favorite game!

Avery won 90 tickets playing games. Here she is trying to decide what to buy with her tickets. It’s such a tough decision.

Thanks Michael and Leah for inviting us!
Memorial Day
by Janelle Call on Jun.23, 2011
On Memorial Day this year we went to the park again, just like last year. It was really cold, but we had fun anyway. Our family was the first on there. Avery wanted to play on the playground, she went down one of the slides and landed in a huge puddle at the bottom. She was soaked! I had to take her back home to change so that she would be warm. When we got back she and I swept the water off and dried it up so the kids could play on it.

We had our annual kick ball game for anyone who wanted to play. Nicole just got a home run!

Great kick Tyler!

Go Nicole!

Avery had a blast playing on the playground.

My cute little nephew Jaden playing with the balls.

Kaden eating his dinner.

Skyler enjoying his hamburger. He also tried alligator tail that my uncle made. I tried some too, it didn’t taste too bad.

Avery wandering around on the kick ball field after the game was over.

Avery and her cousin Sadie played kick ball together.

The girls playing in the sand. Avery was filthy when they got done, but I am so glad she had fun.

Cute girls!

Skyler enjoyed playing Bocce with my grandpa and two of my uncles.

My dad playing with Kaden. Kaden loves him so much, I am so glad they have fun together.

Even though it was cold we had a great time at the park with family.
Preschool Graduation
by Janelle Call on Jun.21, 2011
Avery has been attending preschool at Avondale Academy this last school year. She has learned so many new things and it has been a great experience for her.

She learned all of her letters and the sounds they make by singing songs about each one. She also learned her shapes through songs.

They sang songs about each color and how to spell them. I was so impressed when Avery came home and was able to spell the names of the colors.

At the graduation ceremony Avery was assigned a short speaking part and a solo to sing. Here is a short video of her singing “Cathy Cook” (the song for letter “C”).
The Little Gym
by Janelle Call on Jun.18, 2011
I went to the Women’s Expo at UVU a couple of months ago. While I was there I visited a booth for The Little Gym. Avery has expressed interest in gymnastics ever since we saw Skyler’s cousin perform in a gymnastics meet in Wyoming. So I signed her up for an introductory class with them.

When the day arrived to take her to the class I didn’t want to go, but decided it would be good for her to go try it out. I am so glad that I took her because she had the time of her life! I had so much fun watching her. I was on the outside of the glass watching her, which is why the pictures are not that great.

The kids went around to different stations and had to perform different tasks. In this one she had to be a caterpillar. I was so surprised to see her do this, I didn’t think she could.

Towards the end of the class they let me go inside and take some pictures of her. She loved the balance beam. The first time she had to have help from her teacher, but every time after that she did it on her own. I was so proud of her!

Avery’s favorite part was the bars. She has amazing strength in her arms and was able to pull herself up and around with little help from her teacher. I was not able to get any pictures of her on the bars, but trust me she was WAY cute! I may have to sign her up for a gymnastics class now.
Dance Pictures
by Janelle Call on Jun.15, 2011
Avery has another dance recital with Avondale Academy coming up soon. With each production they do they have class pictures. I was able to take a couple of pictures of her in her costume.

Isn’t she adorable?!?

Be watching for a video of her dance coming soon!
