The Call Family

On Saturday Grandma Call took us to the “Happy Birthday Baby Animals” party at Thanksgiving Point. Avery saw this cow and just had to climb up on him for a picture!

Avery loved walking around and looking at all of the animals. She especially loved the ones that she could reach her hands in and pet…

and the ones she could feed.

They had some little houses that Avery had a blast playing in. This is her posing for Skyler. I love the sunglasses!

Grandma paid for Avery to take a ride on a pony. She rode on one last year, but was too nervous to ride without someone standing next to her. This year she was so brave and rode it all by herself. She had a blast!

After the pony ride we got to ride on the wagon. Avery called it her Cinderella Carriage. Avery sat right in the front and the lady driving the wagon handed Avery the end of the reins for her to help drive. Avery loved it!

Kaden’s umbilical cord fell off last night so today Avery and I were able to give him his very first bath. Avery was thrilled. Avery has been helping me give him sponge baths, but she has really been looking forward to giving him a bath in his little bath tub. She quickly grabbed the soap and the sponge and ran to the bathroom to help me.

Kaden loved the bath. He just sat there and was so content.

Avery lined up all of her ducks so they could watch Kaden take a bath.

Avery has been such a good helper with Kaden. We had a great time giving him his first bath!

Last Friday was my dad’s 50th birthday. Avery, Kaden, and I went miniature golfing with my family at Trafalga during the day to celebrate. I brought my camera to take some pictures of Avery golfing, but they have changed the inside course and you now golf by black light so none of my pictures turned out.
Avery loved playing with “Papa” and running around. She didn’t golf much but she enjoyed throwing her ball into the houses and seeing where it would come out. We had a great time!

That evening we had a surprise party for my dad at the Ivory Ridge Clubhouse across the street from my house. My dad was totally surprised when he got there. We had told him that we were taking pictures of Kaden at the clubhouse and wanted he and my mom to come. When he got there and walked in and saw all of his family and friends there he was completely shocked! It was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Dad! I hope your day was fabulous! We love you!

Here are some photos I took yesterday while the nurses were checking Kaden out, making sure he has a healthy working body and then checking him in, giving him an ankle band and recording his feet prints in ink.

Janelle and I have arrived at the hospital. She is all dressed in her lovely gown and will be receiving an epidural within a few minutes. Here is a picture to enjoy until I can post more after Kaden comes.
