The Call Family

Last week we had the privilege of attending Skyler’s sister Lacey’s wedding. Avery has been anticipating this day ever since Lacey told her that she could wear a pretty silver dress.

The day finally arrived on Thursday, February 4th. We woke up early and dressed in our nice clothes to attend the sealing at the Salt Lake Temple. The sealing was amazing and I am so grateful that we were able to be there to see it.

After the sealing we walked outside to wait for Jake and Lacey to come out. Lacey looked so beautiful in her wedding dress. There were a lot of pictures taken and then we were able to leave to get ready for the luncheon. We had some time in between the sealing and the luncheon so we invited some of Skyler’s family who had not seen our house to come over (by the way, that day happened to be the one year mark of living in this house and we still love it!).

The luncheon and reception were both being held at the Ivory Ridge Clubhouse, right across the street from our house so we didn’t have to go far. Cafe Rio catered the luncheon and it was so good! We hung around the clubhouse between the luncheon and reception.

Avery had been dying all day to wear her pretty silver dress and be like Lacey. Finally at around 5:30pm we put it on her. She had a matching dress with Skyler’s cousin, Lexi, who is her one of her favorite people. The only pictures she would smile for were the ones that had her and Lexi in them!

Avery enjoyed dancing around and falling on the ground.

Jake was so cute with Avery. She is his only niece and he kept calling her his niece all day, it was cute to watch him with her. After Jake and Lacey shared their first dance Jake picked Avery up and danced with her. I didn’t have time to grab my camera to catch a picture, but it was adorable!

When we got home Avery found her notebook and crayons and just wanted to lay down and color.

We had a wonderful night visiting with friends and family and enjoying some great cake and other desserts. We look forward to seeing Jake and Lacey when they come home from their honeymoon on Sunday. :)
