Santa’s Lap
by Janelle Call on Dec.09, 2009
We took Avery so see Santa Claus at the University Mall last week. We were there doing some shopping and there was no line to see him so we walked right up. Avery was so brave she climbed right up on his lap with no problem. She smiled at him and said, “Santa, I want a princess castle for Christmas!” Santa said, “Oh, I can see you with one of those!”

Santa was so cute with her! He talked to her about Christmas Eve and told her that she needs to make sure to go to bed early, right when mommy says, so that he can bring her some presents. He wished her a Merry Christmas and gave her a yummy sucker from See’s. Avery was in heaven, she loves Santa!

Thanksgiving Break Fun!
by Janelle Call on Dec.07, 2009
Thanksgiving this year was spent with Skyler’s family at his grandparent’s house. We had great food and fun times visiting with everyone. While we were there Skyler’s grandparents wanted a picture of all of us together. Skyler jumped at the chance to show off his new camera. He quickly got his equipment set up and took this wonderful photo.

That morning Avery and I had dressed in brown shirts and jeans. I told Skyler that if he wanted to match us he could wear his brown shirt too, so he did. We wanted a picture of the three of us together in our matching outfits, but Avery would not cooperate, so we got one of just the two of us instead.

On Friday we had our annual tradition of going to Salt Lake to eat at California Pizza Kitchen and see the lights at Temple Square. The food was so yummy and the lights were beautiful. Avery sat by the reflection pond and did not want to leave, she love looking at the water and the fun candles floating in it.

On Sunday it was my birthday. We went over to my mom’s house and she cooked my FAVORITE meal, roast and mashed potatoes. Yummy!

Avery helped me blow out my candles.

Avery would just lick the frosting off of the cupcakes so we decided to just give her a big scoop of frosting. As you can see she loved it!

Thanks to everyone who helped make our Thanksgiving break so great!
