Family Night Fun
by Janelle Call on Aug.02, 2009
For Family Night last week I decided that it would be fun to take Avery miniature golfing. I had a coupon for a free game at Liberty Land in Lehi so we decided to go there. Daddy helped Avery to hit the ball for the first time. She thought it was so much fun!

We would help her hit the ball close to the hole and then Avery would use her own method to get the ball into the hole. Most of the time she would just pick it up and put it in there by hand. Sometimes she would try to hit it with the club on her own. It was so cute to watch.

Avery thought it was so cool that you could hit your ball into the houses and things and have it come out somewhere else. She enjoyed picking her ball up and trying to throw it into the slot over and over.

She had a really cute way of holding her club over her shoulder, I didn’t quite capture it but this was cute too.

She got bored about half way through and would go back to the holes we had already played and play around. Luckily there wasn’t anyone behind us for a while. She climbed on this chain and told me that she was riding a horsy!

We had a fun time miniature golfing. I think Avery is still a little young for it, but she enjoyed herself!
Boating
by Janelle Call on Aug.01, 2009
My parents took us out in their boat last Saturday. Avery has been looking forward to going in the boat all summer. Every time she would see it in their backyard she would say, “I want to go in Papa’s boat!”. I have been telling her that she has to wear a life jacket when she goes in Papa’s boat. So when we got on the boat she said, “Mom, I need my life jacket so I don’t die!”. It was hilarious. I don’t remember ever telling her that she needed it so she wouldn’t die. She is a silly girl. Here she is all ready for a fun day on the boat!

We had a wonderful day up until I crashed on the wakeboard and face planted in the water. I must have hit something because it left this lovely mark on my jaw. It has been really swollen and really sore.

Even with the accident we had a great time. Thanks mom and dad for taking us out!
